There is a silent threat lurking in the halls of your company’s workplace. That threat is partner violence.  Fully one quarter of workplace violence events in the U.S. each year are related to partner violence. When a victim of partner violence leaves her abusive partner, the one place the batterer knows she can be found is at work. Batterers come to work to harass, harm or kill their victims. Not only is the victim in danger, but so are the victims’ coworkers, your customers, and others in the building. Ninety four percent of corporate security directors rank partner violence as a high security problem.

Standing Firm: The Business Case to End Partner Violence exists to engage employers in taking simple and effective action against partner violence as it impacts their workplace and workforce. In much the same way that employers have learned to address substance abuse, Standing Firm provides model policies, training and outreach tools to address partner violence.

Join Barbara Penner, MS, Project Coordinator for Standing Firm, for this enlightening presentation.
