Billed as the oldest, largest and most respected manufactured home dealer in the Northeastern United States, Riverview Homes, Inc. of Vandergrift is gearing up for yet another successful season catering to home buyers of the Alle-Kiski Valley and beyond.

Riverview Homes, Inc. was founded by Sam Fanelli and John "Jack" Rehak, two local businessmen who met while working together at the Valley News Dispatch in the 1960s. In 1968, they partnered to purchase an existing used car dealership (on what is now the Vandergrift sales center), and Riverview Auto Mart was formed with $1,167.82 in assets on the books. In 1970, the first manufactured homes arrived on the sales lot, and Sam and Jack began their manufactured home careers. Little by little the car sales dwindled and home sales took their place.

At RHI, there's been a few changes in the past 48 years said Sam Fanelli. Riverview Homes are bigger, built better and far more luxurious, however the process of buying and financing a home has become more complex due to increasing government regulations. RHI realized that in order to flourish in a challenging market, they needed to offer their customers an extraordinary level of support and service. RHI has a work force of 60 employees, 50 of them are full time workers.

One thing that hasn't changed at Riverview Homes over the decades is their dedication to service and an unmatched reputation for customer satisfaction. With six sales centers located throughout Western Pennsylvania, Riverview Homes is the largest builder of modular, manufactured & mobile homes in Pennsylvania
